Jamie Summerfield, founder of Digitalis, is a communications expert with two decades of experience in journalism, PR and marketing.
In fact, he’s been telling stories since he was a nipper. Using a typewriter, Letraset transfers and lots of glue, he created a football magazine when he was 11 that his mum sold at the market stalls and pubs in Stoke-on-Trent where she worked. At university, he spent way too much time producing fanzines for a host of long-forgotten, long-haired bands in London. But he’s over that now. Almost.
PR with a journalist’s eye and a storyteller’s soul
It’s no surprise that he’s spent his career in journalism, PR and communications, with an extensive track record in print and online journalism, in the public and private sectors, and – since 2013 – as an independent consultant. In 2010, he founded the award-winning local news website A Little Bit of Stone, one of the first of a new breed of independent news platforms. He now works with a range of businesses who want to be crystal clear in their PR and marketing.
A natural communicator, Jamie has a journalist’s eye and a storyteller’s soul.
